Why Partum Panties?

One of the many challenges new mums face, is feeling comfortable with the right underwear. Women want to focus on their new baby and not have to worry about their heavy bleeding or the feeling of discomfort from bulky maternity pads and underwear.

In the early postpartum period women often use underwear that are loose or tight. They experience leaking, pads that bunch up and underwear pulls up tightly onto their caesarean or perineum wound. Women are even wearing adult diapers, as there is nothing else on the market available to them. This is why Lydia at Partum Panties decided it was time to find a better solution for the postpartum woman.

Partum Panties offers pregnant and postpartum women comfort and convenience and aims to provide women with a product that allows for a greater postpartum recovery.

FAQ

Q: How many packs will I need?

A: We and our consumers have recommended approximately 3 packs, as the panties are designed to support you in those first few heavier days to a week. They can also be worn in your labour, when your waters have broken.

Q. How often will I need to change them?

A. It depends on how much you bleed after birth and this can vary across different women. However generally you should get a few hours out of each panty.

Q: What size should I purchase?

A: We recommend waiting till you are at least 32 weeks before ordering.

Also, check yourself against our measurements listed on the Where to Measure guide below

Always go up a size, if you are closer to the max cms listed, to ensure you are comfortable.

Q: Are these suitable for Caesarean Sections?

A: Yes they most certainly are. The panties are high waisted, soft and stretchy, and also sit above your wound. Please feel free to go and read our reviews from our c-section mummas.

Q: Do they come in packs or individually?

A: The panties come in packs of 5.

*Note this is a general guide only to assist in determining your size. For accuracy of sizing, we recommend you are measured as per our instructions below

Stand with your heels together and have someone measure you. Place the tape measure over your hips, coming to the front of your bump and fullest part of your bottom. The tape measure should touch your body at all points and not be pulled tight.
